Welcome to the Women's Section

The EWGC Women’s Section is a friendly and welcoming section with a mixture of 18 hole, 9 hole and social members.
The section is administered by a Committee, led by its current Women's Captain.
The Women’s AGM is held in March where a summary of the previous year is given, the committee are appointed and the previous captain hands over the reins in the ceremony of the brooch.
Throughout the year there are variety of competitions and events, these include;

  • Qualifying competitions including your chance to win a trophy and earn your spot on the honours boards
  • Summer & Winter eclectics
  • Fun competitions – including Greensomes, Foursomes, Better Ball, and
  • everyone’s favourite – Scrambles
  • Friendlies with other clubs
  • Inter-club competitions, including Pearson’s and the Queen’s Salver
  • Mixed pair competitions
  • Women’s Captain’s Day
  • Rover’s Day
  • Autumn, Winter, and Spring Meetings

The nominated days for Women’s competitions is a Tuesday with an alternate competition day on a Saturday, where there is no scheduled Saturday
Competition.
On a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday there are open roll up groups.
Everyone is very welcome to turn up and join in. We also have various WhatsApp groups to keep you up to date with information, bookings and events.
There’s an active social scene at the Warren with theatre trips, dinners and cocktail nights to name but a few.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner there’s something at the Warren for you!

Additionally, each week includes coverage of: Golf Terminology, Etiquette, Rules.
